Vogue magazine’s June 2012 issue is all about Team USA as they are celebrating the United States in the upcoming London 2012 Olympic games! Gracing the cover are former Olympic winners Hope Solo, Serena Williams, and Ryan Lochte, who is only the fourth male ever to be featured on a Vogue cover. Photographed by Annie Leibovitz, the cover creates a definite “Baywatch” theme. According to the Huffington Post, the London 2012 Games have already made headlines:
The theme of the cover, of course, is the 2012 London Olympics, which have already gotten a fair amount of attention from the fashion industry. Stella McCartney designed the blue and white “kit” (uniform) for Team GB (Great Britain), while Giorgio Armani did the honors for Team Italy. The U.S. uniforms are designed by that paragon of Americana, Ralph Lauren.
Nice June 2012 cover Vogue! The Olympic games will be broadcast on NBC beginning this summer!
