OC Entertainment | MTV’s 2012 VMA’s Get Huge Venue Upgrade!

MTV’s Video Music Awards are one of the largest awards shows in history, and this year they’re making their name even larger with a huge venue change. On September 6th, 2012, MTV will take over the Los Angeles Staples Center for their annual show. Sr. Vice President & General Manager of the Staples Center seems to be just as thrilled as MTV about the upcoming event:

“STAPLES Center is incredibly excited to have the opportunity to host the 2012 MTV Video Music Award. We look forward to continuing our relationship with our partners at MTV and hosting this one of kind music event here at L.A. LIVE.”

Coming off their high of the 2012 MTV Movie Awards, this year’s VMA’s will broadcast live via MTV’s 60 global channels to over 600 million people! After last year’s performances–which included Beyonce’ announcing her pregnancy–it’s no telling what will happen this year at the much larger venue.
