If your schedule only permits you to exercise during lunchtime, this should not give you an excuse to have a crappy workout. 30 minutes is an ample amount of time to burn up to 450 calories in our lunchtime elliptical workout…IF you consistently keep the intensity of your workout at a moderate to high level. As you peddle on the elliptical, keep your stride at a level that you are barely able to hold a conversation. Make sure you are breathing throughout the entire workout so enough oxygen is flowing to working muscles. Engage your arms while moving on the elliptical to burn even more calories. Remember, the more effort you put into your elliptical workout, the more effort your body is putting in to burn calories. Make this 30 minutes work for you! Check out the workout HERE.
Step on elliptical.
1) Warm up for 5 minutes. Resistance 4 or 5
2) Peddle for 5 minutes. Resistance 5 or 6
3) Peddle for 10 minutes. Resistance 6 or 7
4) Peddle for 5 minutes. Resistance 7 or 8
5) Peddle for 5 minutes. Resistance 8, 9, or 10
Remember, each time you increase the resistance on the elliptical; the intensity (stride) should stay the same. You should not slow down because you increase the resistance. Keep your intensity up to burn the most calories in this workout.
