OC Style | The 2012 Must-Have Color of The Year Is….
…Tangerine Tango! Pantone’s annual color list has just arrived and they’ve chosen this distinct shade of reddish-orange as the must-have color for 2012. Seen on the runway at many Spring 2012 Fashion Week shows, Tangerine Tango is a far cry from your normal black and neutral tones. The color, which is ‘exotic yet friendly,’ will be used on everything from makeup to home decor. According to Pantone Color Institute’s executive director, Leatrice Eiseman, Tangerine Tango is more than just a color:
“Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it. Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.”
